Dear Students
Welcome to The University of Auckland.
My name is Shannon Johnston and I am the Faculty of Science support person for all MARA Scholarship students. We will be sending you a Faculty of Science Welcome Pack shortly. However, in the meantime, we need to explain to you about your accommodation for next year.
I understand that you have already applied for accommodation for next year and that most of you selected Number 14 Whitaker Place. However, Huia is the accommodation placement for BSc MARA Cohort 4 students for 2010. You do not, however, need to do change this as the residence choice will be automatically changed to Huia. For those of you that have paid an application fee Accommodation Services will be in contact to arrange a refund or to use this money to go towards your rent after you arrive.
For your information the reasons for this accommodation placement at Huia are to keep the BSc MARA Cohort 4 students together (as a support network) but also provide the opportunity to form networks with other students (both New Zealand and other international students) who occupy the residence. We have found that international students, who interact with other students, have a more successful integration into University life.

rose akak rase ok la korg dapat huia. compare to 14 huia lagi safe sebab die cbd building. which means alcohols are not allowed. flat 14 tu jauh bawah bukit, pastu jalan die menakutkan, seriously, kalau balik malam sesorg bahaya. pastu, org2 14 diorg suke wat party. bising sgt. ni kawan2 akak yg duk 14 cite. so pape dun worry lah. huia mmg ok je. maybe from my blog u guys bayang huia ni teruk but sume tu small matter je.
